Being a student is demanding of course, but I discovered that Veterinary medicine and the practice of medicine in general is even more demanding. It is demanding emotionally as well as intellectually. Veterinary medicine in particular requires a silent form of communication with the needs of the animal patients, as well as constant verbal communication with the patient's owners.
